ABOUT
Coach Lyss

I’m Alyssa Conway — also known as Coach Lyss — and I founded Like A Rhino in February of 2023 after years of preparation, growth, and prayer. What began as a quiet dream eventually became a step of faith, rooted in a desire to help others pursue strength with intention and alignment.

​

I’ve been a certified trainer since 2021 and an athlete for as long as I can remember. My background includes competitive powerlifting, a season that taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of consistency. While I’m grateful for that chapter, I’ve since stepped away from competitive powerlifting to focus on a more sustainable, functional approach to fitness.

​

Today, my passion is faith-centered coaching — helping individuals care for their bodies as an act of stewardship rather than striving. I believe true transformation happens when the body, mind, and spirit are aligned, and when fitness supports your life instead of consuming it.

​

Through Like A Rhino, I partner with clients to build strength that lasts, habits that fit their season of life, and confidence rooted in purpose. My goal is to walk alongside you with truth, grace, and consistency as you pursue a healthier, more grounded life — inside and out.
